No, not the flower, the car.

Ormiston House, a few minutes drive from our house, is known as the birthplace of the Australian sugar industry. It was built in the 1860s by Captain Louis Hope, who started growing sugar in the area. It's now in the middle of the suburbs, sugar no longer being grown there. It's a popular spot for local visitors and tourists.

It's also a popular spot for the occasional concours d'elegance. This Sunday it was the turn of the Lotus club. The majority were Lotus Elises, one of which is pictured here, but there were also a few old Elans and one bright red Esprit. It was a white Esprit that Roger Moore, as James Bond, drove in 'The Spy Who Loved Me'.

The Vintage Car club is holding a concours at Ormiston House in June. I'm looking forward to that one.
