Day 4. You Stink.

It seems that every time I set out to take some photos for this blog, I end up photographing something different from what I'd intended. The Lorikeets were in our Golden Penda tree today, as it's in flower again. They wouldn't show themselves though, so while having a closer look at the tree, I came across this little lady, laying her eggs.

Stink bugs get a bit of a bum rap here in Australia, probably because they stink if you disturb them. Like a lot of insects, some of them have some really nice colouring. I'm not so sure that's the case with this one, but I thought she was pretty photogenic anyway. I don't know the exact species, so if you're an expert on Australian true bugs, let me know in the comments.

Once again, the Frankencamera get a guernsey.
